Walking the beach on the Salishan spit, near Lincoln City, Oregon, I saw this bleached basket-like form composed mostly of a tree root, silhouetted against the sky and surf. The beach has lots of weathered wood washed up on it... Beautiful shapes and textures abound. A great day on the Oregon coast!

Wow -- I was thrilled to be awarded "Best of Show" for my collage titled "Undercurrent" at the Rocky Mountain Collage Society show. But I completely forgot to write about it! The show has just come down but the Society and show were covered in the Grand Junction Free Press. At left is a detail from Undercurrent.
